Luther Tucker's playing with James Cotton has always been so inspiring to me. I found a youtube clip of James Cotton at the Dallas International Pop Festival where Luther opens with "Comin' Home Baby". The sound is TERRIBLE but the performance is SMOKIN'! I started adding this tune to my set and it's a lot of fun. There are a few runs in this tune I haven't quite mastered, I'm still working on them! Good luck getting an even fast picking style, it's hard to explain exactly HOW to do that. This is kind of a fast-pasted and a little more advanced lesson. LMK in the comments if I need to break it down some more. Also please post any Cotton/Tucker comments, I'd love to hear from you. A Part 2 of some of Tucker's distinctive licks on Cotton's Verve stuff is definately in order!
