Members of the Italian Senate are going to be allowed to take their pets to work
The initiative was proposed by the President of the Senate Ignazio La Russa as part of the "improvement of the friendly and social atmosphere" among politicians. Animals will have separate access, but they will not be allowed into the meeting room or the buffet.
Such measures have already been practiced in other countries, for example in the USA and Great Britain: Winston Churchill and Bill Clinton had pets that they often took to work.
