Tens of thousands of supporters of Turkey's ruling and main opposition parties have united in a rally, voicing their rejection to the recent coup attempt. The cross-party "Republic and Democracy" rally was held on Sunday in Istanbul's central Taksim Square. In a rare move, pro-government channels broadcasted live comments by main opposition leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu, who called for the fair trial of the coup supporters, as well as urging authorities to abide by the rule of Law.
