Dr. David Stoker board-certified plastic surgeon in Los Angeles. We have an interesting case who, nine years ago, had silicone injected into the upper and lower lips. You can tell that her lips appear artificial; they're larger than you would see in normal life, and that is not her goal. The lips slowly increase in size over time, and she would like to get rid of that. I can also feel significant nodules, and I know that bugs her, but that's not the primary reason she's here. What I'm going to do is elliptical excisions at the border of the wet-dry vermillion; that's where the moist mucosa meets with the dry mucosa to take out an ellipse of tissue on each side, some normal tissue with as much silicone as I can find.
