After a teaser video released last month, Datsun has unveiled the on-DO four-door sedan for the Russian market.
Revived Datsun is presenting its first product created specifically for Russia, a budget four-door sedan offering a class-leading 530-liter cargo capacity. The vehicle is 4337mm long, 1700mm wide and 1500mm tall and was designed in Japan while AVTOVAZ was in charge of the engineering part in Russia.
The model is based on the GO hatchback and will be powered exclusively by a rather modest 4-cylinder, 1.6-liter naturally-aspirated gasoline engine developing 87 bhp (65 kW).
Production of the Datsun on-DO will take place in Togliatti, Russia at AVTOVAZ's assembly plant and the model will have a starting price of less than 400,000 RUB (about 11,300 USD / 8,200 EUR / 6,800 GBP). Sales are programmed to commence later this summer through a network of 25 dealerships.
