The CSD650’s diesel engines have been replaced by electric motors, powering the dredge pump and the hydraulic plant at high efficiency. This design enables zero emission dredging when connected to a local solar/wind power park. Adaptation to any local power supply is easy due to the multidrive system used.
On board, a Low Voltage System is used. This can be maintained by the crew without any special training. Moreover, the use of an E-installation on board increases the dredger’s independence as it needs very little maintenance duties.
The dredger has been designed as a modular package. This means that it can be taken apart should local logistics dictate so. Assembly is easily done using local crane capacity and the plug and play design.
The e-drive of the cutter dredger widens the possibilities to work on environmental dredging jobs.
