I found two Jerusalem Crickets floating in my pool.
Here is a little story and facts:
Jerusalem crickets are large, brownish, awkward insects that are found in Asia, South Africa, and both North and Central America.
• Spends most of its life underground as it is active at night
• Feeds on small insects
• It is also called potato bug, but it is not a bug and does not eat potatoes
• When it has a mating urge, it makes a drumming.
• Jerusalem cricket does not have ears and relies on vibrations.
• It takes two years for Jerusalem cricket to become an adult
• A female eats a male Jerusalem cricket after mating
• Some people keep them as pets
