Do we understand animals? Do we really know what they need? Or maybe we just give them what WE THINK they need?
By getting the knowledge from the combination of psychology and cultural differences we can look at animals as someone coming from other culture. Understanding that animals have their psyche we can notice complexity of their needs, including psychological needs. Hanna Mamzer is a psychologist and sociologist specializing in in sociology of culture and contemporary civilizations, with a focus on issues of identity and multiculturalism. Her recent research interests moved towards posthumanism. Dr. Mamzer is associate professor at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, she has also experience in lecturing abroad, including Europe, Africa, Asia, Central America and United States. She also provides workshops and trainings in soft skills development.
Recipient of many distinguished awards, including Fulbright scholarship, Central European University scholarship, British Council scholarship and European University Institute scholarship.
Dr. Mamzer is a member of Local Ethical Committee for Experiments on Animals and holds position of witness expert for Polish courts in animal welfare as well.
