UK Foreign Minister David Lammy was asked on Wednesday by a member of the parliament’s foreign affairs committee whether he would continue meeting and engaging with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu after the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued an arrest warrant for the leader last week.
Lammy said he would wait for a “note verbale” instructing the embassy on which actions to take should Netanyahu enter the country but added that he would maintain contact with senior Israeli officials to discuss issues such as a potential ceasefire in Gaza and the entry of humanitarian aid to the enclave.
