The Farm Fresh centre of excellence at UPM is a collaboration between UPM and Farm Fresh Milk Sdn Bhd to develop an Agro Tourism Centre to expose the younger generation and instill their interest towards agriculture and the dairy industry.
This collaboration started in 2017 with 130 cows. Today, the population has increased to about 500 cows occupying a total area of 100 acres, and this centre of excellence is one of the 5 Farm Fresh facilities in Malaysia with about 8,000 cows.
At this facility, they share how they produce the freshest and creamiest dairy from cows with sustainable farming practices, and how they grow fresh produce using aquaponic and hydroponic systems in their greenhouse.
We spent 3 hours there on a weekend and sharing here what we discovered.
