Love has such power over us that it can send us into a downward spiral of craziness. Some times, however, Love leads us to such a state of emotional slavery, that it can break off and leave us finally in peace. This song describes the coveted freedom that arises after we get over a break-up. This aria musically and vocally depicts the vigor of a soul which has recovered its autonomy and sanity. For me, this is a very ´giocosa (playful) ´aria filled with cheeky and bouncing emotions.
