Legendary rock vocalist Geoff Tate was touring Ireland when he and his wife Susan stopped at a pub in the tiny village of Glengarriff. A local band was playing and immediately caught their attention. Susan was blown away by the dynamic voice of the singer and approached him after the set. She asked him if he would like to join a world tour and open for Geoff Tate’s band. Mark at first thought he was the subject of a hoax, but as he recognized Geoff, a prominent figure of inspiration to him and one of his musical heroes, he instantly dropped everything and jumped at the opportunity. An aspiring musician’s dream came true and an amazing new talent was introduced to the music world that day as Mark Daly and The Ravens joined Geoff Tate’s Operation Mindcrime as their opening act.
