Ambassador of France to the U.S. Philippe Étienne announces the Transitioning to Virtual Exchange Covid-19 Relief Fund, created by the FACE Foundation and the French Embassy with the mission of supporting creative alternatives to study abroad.
In a unique collaborative effort to maintain vital international exchange around higher education despite closed borders, the French Embassy in the U.S. and the U.S. Embassy in France, along with FACE Foundation, have joined forces to fund 16 educational initiatives aimed at enhancing international exchange in the virtual sphere. The initiatives, proposed by mixed French and American teams of higher education professionals, will each engage universities on both sides of the Atlantic. In total, the funded projects will receive $112,500 in funding, which will support everything from professional development to organizing conferences on best practices around virtual exchange and more.
