WHAT IS THE ACFT? UPDATES & OVERVIEW

So what exactly is the ACFT and what are some of the Updates and recent Changes? The all new ACFT or Army Combat Fitness Test officially kicked off 01 October 2019 but doesn’t go for Record for the masses until 01 October 2020. Biggest change is all Basic Combat Trainees shipping to BCT beginning 01 October 2019 are expected to pass the ACFT.

The APFT was the standard since the early 1980’s until the Army finally changed and updated the Fitness Test. We went from a three event to a six event Army Combat Fitness Test.
