Now my doors are mock panel doors - made from a base layer of 12mm mdf, with 12mm panels glued and nailed to the base layer to form the traditional rails and stiles that make up the door panel. To complete the Victorian look, I then glue mouldings inside each panel. The overall effect is a professional looking panel door.
BUT THE GREAT THING is you don't need a workshop with sophisticated tools like router tables to make these panel doors. If you're a DIY'er LIKE ME you can make these doors with a basic set of tools, as I set out below. Admittedly I use a circular saw in this video, but you can easily get your wood cut to size at your local DIY/ hardware store - as I used to do before I bought my circular saw.
