Interview with Giuseppina Anguzza and Maria Luisa Todaro, both single mothers with disabled children.
They tell us about their lives inside the new Social Housing facility in via Pantelleria in Trapani.
In Trapani 22 new social houses and new relaxing spaces will be built in the quarter nearby via Pantelleria, and 2 football 5 a side pitches will be improved.
The main objectives of these new IACP interventions are social inclusion and suburban areas’ redevelopment, starting from the improvement of sport infrastructure.
Social Housing is a solution that can offer high-quality standard houses, with common areas and services at controlled rents; a possibility for singles or couples, retired persons and small families looking for low cost or temporary accommodation, who can so build up new communities with other citizens.
The 22 apartments built by IACP in via Pantelleria in Trapani, under European Regional Development Fund financing, redesign the way of living in a city quarter where housing, open areas and services contribute to renew the social tissue.
The lodgings have been completely renovated and supplementary services have been provided inside for better living, with a common kitchen, a living room, a reading room and a relaxing area, where the tenants can rediscover a sense of community.
