Korg have finally updated their Korg Gadget ecosystem to version 3 and the biggest new addition is AUv3 support on iOS, which means that you can use the gadgets inside other iOS apps.

If you already have Gadget 2 on iOS the update to 3 is free. Which is not the case on desktop, where version 2 owners have to pay 100 bucks.

For people using the desktop plugin collection of Gadgets, we now have VST 3 support. Both the iOS and desktop versions get 2 new devices - the Santa Ana Rhythm Guitar Machine and Sydney Loop Sampler Machine. however on iOS, these devices are in-app purchases, while on desktop you don’t need to purchase them separately. Which makes sense as the desktop version is way more expensive, so all gadgets are included But to be fair these new devices aren’t really all that necessary for a desktop DAW anyway, while for the iOS version, they provide much needed sound options and functionality.

If you’re a Maschine or Komplete Kontrol user the plugin collection for Mac and PC is great because the gadgets are NKS compatible, so they are integrated in the Komplete Kontrol and Maschine browsers
