We'll discuss this week's sudden stratospheric warming (SSW) event and how it might affect the weather pattern. Towards the end of the surface forecast segment you will see how an important baroclinic system can be missed if you're only looking at pressure and precipitation fields. We'll cover a developing winter storm in Texas for Sunday, and the effects it will have as it tracks eastward through Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia.
