Ingredients:
47g flour
29g icing sugar
15.5g cornflour
pinch of salt
56.5g cold butter
Directions:
Mix flour, sugar, cornflour and salt.
Rub in the butter until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
Press mixture into a lined tin.
Bake at 170 degrees Celsius for 17 minutes.
Filling:
85g butter
80.5g brown sugar
Pinch of salt
1 1/2 Tbsp syrup
1 tsp vanilla essence
150g pecans
1 Tbsp cream
Direction:
In a pot over low heat add in butter, salt, sugar. syrup, and vanilla.
Once the sugar has dissolved and the butter has melted add in the pecans and the cream.
Pour got mixture over cooked base and place back into the oven for 5-7 more minutes.
allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
