My message today is a simple and optimistic one—I believe that in the next 10 to 15 years we will have largely solved human caused climate change, based on the exponential changes we see happening today
Humans chronically underestimate the rate of change underlying transformational events in our history
We did that in the first decade of the 20th century in the transformation from horse to automobile
We did it in the first two decades of the 21st century in the transformation from foreign oil dependency to oil independence in America
And we are doing it again in the third decade of the 21st century in the transformation from a fossil fuel to low carbon economy David Leuschen is the Co-Founder and Senior Managing Director of Riverstone Holdings, a private equity firm focusing on growth capital investments in the energy and power sectors.
