‘Music Without Borders’ concert was organised by the EaPConnect project for European ministers and ambassadors to showcase how research and education networks and ‘LoLa’ (low-latency audio-visual streaming) technology can support harmonious cross-border collaboration. The renown musicians from Estonia, Armenia, Belarus and Georgia played seamlessly together in real-time from two geographically distant locations - Tallinn, Estonia and Minsk, Belarus. The event demonstrated new opportunities for collaboration and artistic research, rehearsal, performance and teaching in the EaP region.
Event was hosted by the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (EAMT) and the Estonian research and education network link was provided by EENet of HITSA. In Minsk, LoLa was implemented at the Academy of Sciences (UIIP NASB) with the network provided by BASNET.
The LoLa technology was developed by the Giuseppe Tartini Music Conservatory in Trieste, Italy, in collaboration with the Italian research and academic network GARR. [ Ссылка ]
