A wind advisory proved to be more than correct for much of Northern Ohio on Friday.
Trees and power lines were knocked down all across the region, and thousands remain without electricity. Several localities also experienced heavy flooding, with Port Clinton appearing to be the hardest hit.
Back in Cleveland, the Indians game forged on despite constant rain and 45 mph wind gusts, and it was finally called in the middle of the seventh inning with the Tribe losing 11-2. The planned postgame fireworks were canceled due to safety concerns.
