Hosts at MSNBC have had a meltdown following ABC’s $US15 million settlement with President-elect Donald Trump.
Following comments by ABC News host George Stephanopoulos that Trump was “found liable for rape”, the president-elect sued the outlet.
Stephanopoulos’ comments came during the host’s fiery interview with US Representative Nancy Mace.
Following the ABC News host’s comments, Trump filed a lawsuit and a settlement was agreed upon between the two parties on Saturday.
An MSNBC panel discussed the settlement, with MSNBC legal analyst Barbara McQuade saying ABC “had a very strong case”.
“It seems to me that with that language, with that quotation, ABC actually had a very strong case, but chose to settle. A settlement is not an admission of liability. It is instead an agreement to end the matter in the best interest of both parties,” she said.
