It's been 7-months since I started investing in the S&P 500 via Eastwest Bank after investing via BPI in the last 8-years. When BPI doubled their trust fees from 0.75% to 1.5% in February, I just couldn't to continue my investments through them even though I am in their Preferred Banking program. I decided to move all my future investments and thankfully, I found many S&P 500 alternatives offered by BPI's competitors - - - - all offering lower trust fees! Based on the previous video, BPI's competitors all had compelling offers. Where one outdid another though would be in terms of the minimum investment to start and the additional top-ups each time you'd want to invest. Another major factor would be the starting amount you would need to put in to start your savings account and the average daily balance you would need to maintain. Ultimately, I went with EastWest bank and here's why:
