The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday conducted searches against Tamil Nadu Electricity department minister V Senthil Balaji and some others as part of a money laundering investigation, official sources said.
Tamil Nadu minister for electricity, excise and prohibition Senthil Balaji broke down after being taken into custody by Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials in connection with a money laundering case in the wee hours of Wednesday. High drama was witnessed outside a government hospital in Chennai where Balaji was brought for medical examination.
