On this adventure, we go metal detecting with the prototype Garrett Vortex VX9 for the first time in the water. This is one of my spots where I have found Civil War Relics, coins, buttons and other interesting artifacts. This is my second test hunt with this new Garrett metal detector. I have detected this battle site many times and I found even more artifacts on this trip. Although this is a prototype of the Garrett Vortex VX9, I think it is already a great detector.
