In this video lecture, we will learn to calculate Enthalpy Change using Bond Energies. Enthalpy change is described as the net energy release or absorbed and is calculated by adding Energy needed to break old bonds, and the energy released for forming new bonds.
In the second part, Energy profile diagrams are discussed for endothermic/exothermic reactions and the effect of catalyst on the Energy profile diagram.
