After watching episode 7 of the Wheel of Time TV show I figured I should do an analysis of a certain fight scene and comment on the viability of duel wielding spears... or lack thereof.
Fighting with two weapons is a staple fantasy trope, but aside from the Diablo 2 barbarian I've rarely seen it done with spears / polearms. For good reason... not only does it look weird it also doesn't make a whole lot of logical sense.
Let's take a closer look at the scene and think about some practical challenges with this idea afterwards.
