9 grader nord is an energetic live band that has thrilled audiences all over Norway. They have for several years performed their ethnically progressive music at a number of festivals and have made several different musical collaborations.
The band's perhaps biggest collaboration recently became a reality, when they were contacted by the Norwegian Radio Orchestra. This was a collaboration that had been desired by both parties for a long time, but which for various reasons had not yet been possible.
In December 2021 the dream came true, and the band was invited by the Norwegian Radio Orchestra (KORK) and the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) to perform a collaboration on 9 grader nord’s very first song, “Jaffna”, live on national television. The recordings of this live performance have now been turned into a music video, which depicts this unique combination.
