After a cold start, temperatures rise into the upper 50s to around 60 this afternoon under mostly sunny skies. A few more clouds will be with us tomorrow, but at least we'll see temperatures a little warmer with highs in the mid to upper 60s. Friday is a "DMV First Warn Day" for the threat for widespread rain with some locally heavy rain bands at times. This rain will be associated with the remnants of Nicole that will be meeting up with a cold front that swings in from the northwest.
