Krakow Zoo opened in 1929, but it's located in the Wolski Forest where there have been animal breeding grounds since the 1800s. It's not the biggest or the best zoo in the world - but it has some interesting stories despite that!
Join me as I show you the animals and the surrounding landscape. We will gaze at everything from elephants to penguins and flamingoes, with big and small cats, monkeys, reptiles and a lot more mixed in between.
I will also tell you of the mystical tree beast of Krakow, and tell the tragic tale of Marius the giraffe who almost ended up at Krakow Zoo.
