In this video, we unpack all things about the man who was expected to lead China through the 20th century, Chiang Kai-Shek. Chiang Kai-Shek is known for two main reasons; firstly the leader of the Republic of China who unbelievably lost the Chinese Civil War to Mao Zedong and secondly, for being the leader of Taiwan.

In our new series, Mr. Mitchell will cover the influential figures of Communist China and surprisngly we start today with someone who was in opposition to the Communists in Chiang Kai-Shek. This video will cover the start to end of Chiang's life but will primarily emphasise his role in shaping Modern China rather than focusing on his personal life.
