Seasoning your Scout as soon as you get it makes sure that you're ready to get crafting. Before doing any cutting or embossing, we recommend running just the platform and cutting plates by themselves (A, B, & both Cs), then gradually increasing the pressure by adding a piece of paper between the plates, then a die, then an embossing folder, etc. This quick process will help you to achieve smooth cuts with ease! It's also recommended for all die cutting machines that dies are are placed sideways with the shortest surface area towards the top, giving the machine a better grip as your platform runs through.
