Congress celebrated its 136th foundation day at the party headquarters in the capital. The party flag was hoisted by senior leader AK Antony. Priyanka Gandhi was also present at the party headquarter during the ceremony. Former party Chief Rahul Gandhi too was not present as he had gone abroad for a ‘short personal visit’. Other senior leaders, including Ghulam Nabi Azad, KC Venugopal, Randeep Singh Surjewala, were present at the brief event to mark the occasion. Congress President Sonia Gandhi released a video message where she congratulated party workers and urged them to continue their fight to protect the constitution & democratic institutions of the country. She also targeted the Modi government over the farmers’ protest and said that the rights of the common man are being trampled upon. Watch the full video for all the details.
