A relatively short video following the recently introduced Chester to Liverpool Lime Street via the Halton Curve with our good friends at Transport for Wales. We head in a North Easterly direction before swinging round to the North West via the remodelled Halton Curve. It was only used by freight and the occasional special train until it was re-signalled and upgraded for regular passenger use. Its a lovely day and the footage is clear with a high definition stereo soundtrack. There is some simply astonishing feats of engineering along the way and we take a little look at some classic Halewood produced Fords. A snippet in a Class 68 and at the end, the fascinating journey of a signal box to a new home.
Addendum
JLR cars operate from more production sites than Halewood.
At Frodsham Junction, the label should read “To Warrington and the WCML” and not the ECML.
