The sciatic nerve can be a real pain in the butt 🍑
Literally.
It’s called Sciatic Nerve Entrapment, or also known as Deep Gluteal Syndrome.
📚 It is a well-researched and well-documented problem, where the nerve becomes entrapped by fibrous tissue as it passes through the deep glute muscles.
This is a fairly common problem and can be one of the underlying reasons why cases chronic lower back and hip pain have stayed chronic for so long.
In our office we typically treat this via manual hands-on techniques, or radial pressure wave (radial shockwave therapy).
In this short clip we are treating a mild entrapment of the sciatic nerve at the external rotator muscles of the hip.
