The QX55 is slightly more expensive but also more luxurious than the QX50 as it has all-wheel drive as standard equipment, while the latter only offers it as an option.

The performance of the QX55 is respectable. It can reach 60 mph from 0 mph in 6.4 seconds, which is rather impressive for a tiny luxury SUV with a four-cylinder engine, according to our test drive. The driving experience isn't exactly as seamless as you would want, though. The continuously variable gearbox (CVT) might give the vehicle an unsteady, jerky acceleration sensation that takes away from its opulent appearance.

The QX55 isn't nearly as comfortable and stylish as competitors like the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe, BMW X4, and Genesis GV70.
