So this was a bit of a mad one! Wild camping and hiking in the Lake District is always an adventure, but this trip? It had everything. I scrambled up Haystacks, found this hidden bothy (seriously cool), and got some of the best views ever. But it wasn’t all smooth sailing—rolled my ankle, soaked my socks, and tackled some ridiculously boggy trails. Oh, and wait till you see the sunrise from my wild camping pitch. Honestly, it made all the tough bits so worth it. Plus, I had a chat with this legend of a local hiker who gave me some great tips.
