This is a video of the Awaodori Festival that was held in Shimokitazawa, a neighborhood on the western side of Tokyo, Japan, in August 2012. The Awaodori is a dance that originated from Tokushima Prefecture in the Shikoku Islands of Japan; but has become popular in other areas of Japan. For this festival, over 50 groups danced through the streets of Shimokitazawa. This is a video of one of the wilder dance groups, as you can seen in some parts of the video!
