South Korea’s IT ministry has announced its plan to invest 223.7 billion KRW, approximately US$186.7 million, to create a national metaverse ecosystem. According to the statement issued by the Ministry of ICT Science and Future Planning, their goal is to encourage young developers, creators, and entrepreneurs to create a favourable industry around the concept.
