At least 80 countries already operate satellites. Now, commercial space companies are also rapidly multiplying and expanding around the world. How big is the commercial space industry?
Charity Weeden, Vice President, Global Space Policy at Astroscale U.S., says, "The space industry, writ large around the world is worth approximately $400 billion in revenue per year. About 100 billion of that is government spending and space, civil space programs and the like. But the rest of it is industry."
