Welcome to this full aerial tour of Goathland in North Yorkshire. Goathland is a stunning village situated on the North York Moors near the seaside town of Whitby. Join me and take in all the beautiful sights surrounding Goathland of the stunning rolling hills filled with vibrant purple heather and lush green grass. Talking of 'Greengrass' Goathland was home to 'Heartbeat' a long-standing tv drama set in the fictional village of Aidensfield and if you're a fan of the series you will be able to make out some of the main Heartbeat filming locations all of which remain relatively unchanged and are accessible to visitors.

Other than Heartbeat, Goathland Station made an appearance in the early Harry Potter films. It was the filming location of the fictional 'Hogsmeade Station' which served both the village of Hogsmeade and the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Unfortunately, you cannot hop onto the Hogwarts Express here, but you can board a steam train or heritage diesel train to visit locations such as Whitby, Grosmont and Pickering experiencing the stunning scenery on your journey through the North York Moors.

Goathland as you are able to see in this aerial tour is nestled in miles of unspoilt views over the North York Moors National Park and is home to a large amount of wildlife perfect for photographers, cyclists and people who love to explore.
