quick check if cyl & piston clearance is ok, if not it will seize straight away, no matter what you do. Check: 1) make sure piston moves freely inside the piston and does not get stuck, no matter how turned around its put it in 2) piston ring gap is 0,036mm per 10mm bore, make sure is provided, too little will cause problems.

and some other 7 cylinders checked, to give you a feeling, whats normal and what isnt. yes, the polini 177 is also normal :D ;)

of course this does not replace proper measurement of these two parts BUT you do need good tools to do so. not everyone has these :) i dont.
