FREDDIE AGUILAR CELEBRATES LOVE THIS SEASON WITH “SA PASKONG DARATING”

“Sa Paskong Darating,” remains to be a Pinoy favorite, as it centers around a wish to celebrate another Christmas together with a loved one. The song is a beautiful serenade set to Christmas mode.

Some fans and netizens took to Alpha Records’ YouTube channel how the song touched them as they listened, one more time, to this classic Christmas track.

Jaime Pepito wrote “Such a very melancholic song, yet it warms my cold, cold heart!!!”

“Napapanahon na naman at kahit nga hindi pasko, napakagandang kanta [nito], paborito ng asawa ko. Thanks,” Remeli Barandino remarked.

An anonymous netizen expressed grief as he commented, “Nakakamiss ang kantang ito sana puwede bumalik ‘yung oras.”

To this day, Ka Freddie continues to win the hearts of social media users. His music proves to be timeless.

The Filipino singer-songwriter, hailed as King of Folk Songs, was a recipient of this year’s Dangal ng Panitikan from the Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (Commission on the Filipino Language). The ceremony was held last November 9, 2021. The aforementioned award recognizes individuals whose work has led to the development of Philippine literature and culture.

Ka Freddie's hit song, the anthemic “Anak” has been translated in 25 foreign languages and was reproduced in more than 50 countries since its release in 1978.
