The Liberal government announced it is delaying an expansion of its medical assistance in dying laws.
The legislation would have allowed people with a mental disorder as their only underlying condition to seek the option to end their lives.
While many people gave a sigh of relief at the announcement, some insist the delay will only prolong suffering. Touria Izri speaks with people on both sides of the deeply personal debate.
