The Runcam Split needs no introduction. It is a great product that saves a lot of weight in many R/C FPV applications and brings high quality video footage possible to smaller sized multirotors / crafts / vehicles, at a fair price.
The main gripe I (and most other users) had since its launch was the "memory full" alert message, which pops up right in the middle of the video feed when the microSD card becomes full. This is not only obnoxious but also very dangerous, since it obscures the view when flying.
Runcam published a firmware update on September 5th (2017), which most importantly includes a fix to this serious issue, among other things.
There are 2 ways to update the firmware on the Runcam Split, either via the App on your smartphone or tablet (requires the WiFi module of the Split) or via the microSD card.
The process is fast and easy - you can watch how to do it both ways in this video. Make sure you take note of your Split's settings before updating!

The features of the V1.1.0 Firmware of 5th, Sep 2017 for the Runcam Split are the following:
1. SD Card related tips moved to the upper right corner
2. Add the TV-OUT status prompt, available to set on/off in the APP
3. Delete the WIFI key to pause the video function
4. Optimize the TV-OUT display ratio
5. Fixed some bugs
