Pinellas County paramedics say they are struggling to keep up with the amount of COVID-related 911 calls. They've gone into condition 3-M, which means there aren't enough ambulances to transport patients. Now, fire rescue crews are using firetrucks to take patients to the hospital. However, many hospitals are turning patients away because there aren't any beds left.
FOX 13's Dan Matics rode with Sunstar Paramedics in St. Petersburg, Florida as they disinfected ambulances, scrambled to respond to calls, and waited in parking lots for hospitals to make accommodations for more patients.
