In 2014, bribes exchange hands for jobs in the Metropolitan Transport Company owned by the State of Tamil Nadu. By 2018, the then Transport Minister of Tamil Nadu has an FIR against him for his involvement in the case. In 2023, the Supreme Court restarts the investigation previously shut down by the madras High Court, and Mr Balaji is arrested on June 13. On June 15, a Habeas Corpus petition seeks his transfer to a private hospital for cardiac health issues. ED has now challenged this in the Supreme Court. We bring you the full details in this video
