This tutorial shows you how to sync the lock on your door to a home security system, specifically using z-wave with the ADT Security System. It's all part of that Smart Home Automation!
In the video I use a Kwikset Smartcode 888 Electronic Deadbolt. But this tutorial can be used for any lock that has z-wave, including some newer models like the Kwikset SmartCode 914 Keypad Smart Lock.
This security system sync setup feature is awesome! Syncing an automatic door lock is easy and It allows you to lock and unlock your doors right from your phone. That means if you are on vacation and need a neighbor to get into your home you can unlock it for them from thousands of miles away!
