The fate of the basic education calendar now lies with the Employment and Labor Relations Court after talks between the Teachers Service Commission and the Kenya national union of teachers seeking to break a standoff over a planned strike failed to produce the desired results. The teachers’ service commission has already obtained Prohibitory Injunction orders restraining the Kenya national union of teachers from effecting its strike threat.
